Who am I?

That's a good question. My name is Heather McKay and I am originally from Detroit Michigan.

How I made it to Los Angeles.....

I worked for Ford Motor Company as a Marketing Analyst for five years. The company transferred me to Los Angeles to work on a special project back in 2005, and I have been here every since.

Personal and Professional Life.....

I have been married for 3 years and I a have wonderful and active 2 year old son.

I have over 9 years of experience in the Marketing and Communications field. I found Fielding out of an intense desire to continue my education. I was very pleased to find a PhD program that would allow me to combine my love of media with my fascination with psychology. So here I am!!

Whenever I meet new people I initially come across as shy and reserved, but once I open up I am a load of fun.

Goals.....

My goal is to eventually become a full-time college professor. I currently teach classes on the side at the University of Phoenix and Santa Monica College. I am passionate about equal education, politics and social justice. I believe in justice for ALL human beings and living creatures and have made it my life's mission to do whatever I can to assist in making life better for all.
